Everyone knows of the Greek and Roman gods, and have heard tell of the gods of the Norse and the Celts. Fewer have heard of some of the world's other pantheons. Now a new group of gods have arrived on the scene.
They came walking out of the Aether one day, less than two hundred years ago. As yet known only to a few, they were sent by Universe in response to a growing need.
None of the old gods knew who or what Universe was, whether it was a group, an individual, or without shape, form, or even mass, or whether it/they were male, female, or without gender. All they knew was that there was something above them, and now it had sent a new group of gods who appeared as teenage boys, whose purview was the gay and bisexual boys – under twenty – of the world.
Nature is a quiet and slender boy with the appearance of an East Indian fourteen year old. A gentle boy unless you get him angry, he is in charge of the small pantheon, and helps boys realize their true nature.
War is a strapping young redhead of seventeen who rules over the teenage gangs of the world. His job is to redirect the anger that most often drives these gangs from destructive ends to fighting for more worthy causes, such as freedom and tolerance, although he sometimes loses sight of that in favor of a good fight.
Peace, an ethereal fifteen year old of indeterminate race with exotic hair and eye colors, is War's on-again, off-again lover, who often interferes with 'a good fight', as War puts it, by making the combatants see sense, but whose main job is to ease the mental and spiritual pain of those gay boys most in need of it.
Death is a sixteen year old boy who looks slightly oriental. He could almost be mistaken for a beautiful vampire, were it not for the lack of fangs. He carries a short, slender sword which leaves not a mark on those it touches, but leaves them dead, nonetheless – or separates the soul from the body if they're already dead. His duty is to collect the souls of the wrongfully dead, whether by murder, through stupidly dangerous sex games, driven to suicide, or through other reasons directly or indirectly related to their sexual orientation. Whenever possible, he is also to seek appropriate vengeance for the wronged, which occasionally has him pairing up with War.
Fate is a trio of boys, from a mischievous freckled twelve year old who likes to play tricks with the lives of gay boys - mostly to their eventual betterment, but you'd best hope he likes you: to a studious Native American fifteen year old who weaves the tapestry of life while trying to ease out the occasional tangle or knot when he can: to the eldest seeming, an eighteen year old African of somber mien who holds the scissors that cut a life short when necessary for the greater good, or to ease the suffering of a tortured soul whose pain cannot be relieved otherwise.
These are the new gods.
The souls of the lost gay boys are most often sent on their way to be reincarnated, but the occasional boy is given a choice of moving on, or becoming servants and lovers to the gay gods. They can always move on at any time they choose.
Of course all work and no play is draining, to say the least: even for gods. So the new gods will occasionally take a break from their duties to indulge in single or multiple partners, or even orgies, according to the nature you give them. (It's possible that the plane they exist on is timeless – it's up to you.)
